Dee Why, Narrabeen | 30 August 2014 | 6-9 ft SSE @ 10s

  • Driven by a complex low pressure plonked on top of the the Tasman Sea, a rainy and blustery morning did nothing to dampen enthusiasm on the Northern Beaches specifically at Dee Why Point and Narrabeen.

I rocked up with my expectations set on low given the weather conditions and was pleasantly surprised to see it pumping and clean despite being under the influence of a lively SSW wind.

The usual talented crew were out at Dee Why Point some with a camera between their teeth. It was all the rage back then. Still is I reckon. Anyway, the waves were huge and the crew were having a blast pulling into the behemoths pushing through on the Point.

Meanwhile up at Narrabeen an equally experienced jet ski team revelled in the gnarly massiveness on offer.
